    This specification defines the performance characteristics of SMPS based 300Wmax., Float to Boost Charger Power Supply.

Float-Boost Change over

When ever discharged battery is connected to charger the output voltage goes to boost charging mode and will start charging the Battery. Once Battery is fully Charged the output voltage will change from boost to float mode and maintains the battery in fully charged Condition.

02Protections
+

Output over Load / Short Circuit Protection

The Power Supply is fully protected against over load & short ckt. During over load output fold back and resumes to normal operation on removal of over loads. During short circuit at output the Power Supply will go in to hick up mode and resumes normal operation on Removal of the short circuit.

Charge Change over Protection

Once Battery is fully Charged the protection circuit changes from Boost mode to Float mode and it does not allow further charging. During charging time when ever the battery charging current reduces to 4.0A ± 1.0A the output will change from boost to float mode.

Battery Reverse Protection

On Battery reversal, 30A fuse mounted on the PCB will blow, The Power Supply is isolating from the Battery.

DI-Electric Voltage Withstand Test

Tested at 3.0KVAC rms at 50Hz for 60 Sec. with a trip current of 5mA.

Insulation Resistance

When tested with a 500VDC Megger shall not be < 20 Mega Ohms Between Shorted INPUT and Shorted OUTPUT Terminals.

08Over Temperature Protection

The Power Supply is protected against over temperature. In case of over temperature the Power Supply output gradually reduced, O/P Power limits & recovers normal operation automatically when the temperature reduces.

0 to 20V analog voltmeter provided on the front panel to read the Load and battery voltage.

Ammeter

0 to 25A analog ammeter provided on the front panel to read the Load and battery currents.
