This specification defines the performance characteristics of a 13.8V, 25A equipment supply cum battery charger operating on Single phase AC supply.
Single phase, 2 wire and ground.
50Hz ± 3Hz
AC 170V rms to 270V rms.
> 75% at 230V, Full load.
The Power Supply has two output terminals i.e., Equipment and the Battery. The Battery is directly floated across the Equipment internally. When battery is connected, the Equipment output terminal Will foll ow the battery voltage.
Equipment output-13.80V at 25.0 Amps max.(without connect battery) Battery output 13.80V at 10.0 Amps max. (When the wireless set is not In transmit mode). Maximum output power (Equipment + Battery) is Limited to 350W max.
Output Voltage settable from 12.0V to 14.20V DC by adjusting the (V.adj.) potentiometer provided on the front panel.
Battery charging will take place with constant voltage, constant current. Maximum charging current of the battery will be limited to 10.0A + 20%. Maximum charging voltage to be 14.00V.
With the Battery disconnected, output voltage will remain within ± 2% Of the set values. And when battery is connected the output will follow The battery voltage
Ripple on the outputs ( with battery disconnected ) shall be less than1%, & Noise less than 2%.
PSU trips on output over voltage condition (above 15V) and resume to normal operation on removal of fault condition and AC power Re-cycling with 20sec interval between switch OFF and ON.
Output folds back or Hick Up mode on over power or short circuit condition and resume to normal operation on removal of over power or Short circuit condition.
On reverse polarity Red LED indication is provided at Battery terminal Connecting side. Charge is protected against the reverse.
During power off condition, the battery supply power to the equipment. When the battery voltage falls below 10.80V, a b attery low LED Will turn ON and Buzzer alarm will be provided on continues mode. to protect the battery from damage due to deep discharge the battery is isolated fro m the equipment, when the battery voltage falls below 10.8V After restoration of AC mains, to ensure the availability of required equipment current and safety of the battery, the battery is initially charged with 1.0A current by an auxiliary charger, till the battery voltage reaches11.40V, after which the battery is reconnected to the equipment and normal Charging (10.0A max.) takes place.
Will be ON when AC is available.
Will be ON when the battery is supplying power to the Radio.
Will be ON when the battery voltage is 10.80V ± 0.2V will start.
Will be ON when the battery is Reverse Connected.
Buzzer alarm will be provided on continues mode. when the Battery Voltage < 11.40V will start.
0 to 20V analog voltmeter provided on the front panel to read the Load and battery voltage.
0 to 30A analog ammeter provided on the front panel to read the Load and battery currents.
Free air convection.
Operating 0 to 50ºC.
Operating 5% RH to 85% RH non-condensing. Storage 5% RH to 95% RH non-condensing.
Tested at 1.5KV rms AC for one minute with a trip current of 5mA.
a) Between INPUT and CHASSIS.
b) Between INPUT and OUTPUT.
To be less than 200m when tested at 10Amp DC current.
WIDTH : 260mm , DEPTH : 290mm , HEIGHT : 104mm
